Facade structure for ETH research laboratory

Project overview

In the tradition of Otto Rudolf Salvisberg, Roger Boltshauser, architect of the new research laboratory at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, designed a double-skin facade of steel and glass with parapets made of glass and concrete. Before the project was executed, a complete corner area situation was implemented as an on-site mock-up, and experience was gained regarding the manufacture and assembly of the overall facade.
