High-pressure pumping station in Riet, Goldach
Project overview
The new high-pressure pumping station in Riet supplies drinking water and safeguards the supply for the St. Gallen region. Every day the pumps deliver up to 32,000 m3 of drinking water to the reservoirs of the city of St. Gallen, which are situated around 330 m higher. The supply to the pumping station comes from the Arbon drinking water network via a nearly six-kilometre DN 400 transport pipe in Lake Constance. The two buffer reservoirs have a combined capacity of 1,700 m3.
