Leibstadt nuclear power plant, Zent building
Project overview
A building for the storage of radioactive machine parts was constructed at Leibstadt nuclear power plant, above the main cooling line of the reactor. In order to avoid any stress on this line in the event of an earthquake, the building was constructed on a foundation comprising piles that do not come into contact with the ground until 10 metres below ground level.

Our services
Performance of a three-dimensional non-linear dynamic finite-element analysis. It was demonstrated that the main cooling line would not be damaged by the foundation in the event of an earthquake (safe shutdown earthquake – SSE).
