Pedestrian bridge Seeuferweg Wollishofen

Project overview

The 248-metre-long and almost 3-metre-wide bridge runs over three interconnected points from the Rote Fabrik in Zurich to the port of Wollishofen. The slimline steel construction rests on 52 piles anchored in the lake bed at a distance of around 15 metres apart. The bridge deck consists of oak planks. At its highest point, the bridge is around two metres above the normal water level, thereby enabling motorboats to pass below it.
