Prevention of major chemical incidents
For high-risk facilities such as artificial ice rinks, swimming pools, fuel depots or businesses which deal with the transportation of hazardous materials, we check whether the requirements of the statutory order on hazardous incidents (StFV) have been fulfilled, and recommend the necessary steps to be taken. In order to identify and compare risks, we develop and carry out cantonal risk registers for several cantons.
For failure-free operations
- Summary reports and risk assessment in accordance with Swiss statutory order on hazardous incidents (StFV)
- Framework reports and methodological examples
- Organisation and further development of risk registers
RCAT and background documentation
As a common basis for risk assessment for all parties, Basler & Hofmann has developed the risk register RCAT, in cooperation with various Swiss cantons. In doing so, we have developed a specialised methodology for the analysis and assessment of physical injuries, as well as the contamination of ground and surface water. Our expertise in the chemical, environmental and structural engineering industries is regularly incorporated into interdisciplinary documentation such as framework reports and assessment criteria according to the StFV.
