Hansjörg Schenker has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Basler & Hofmann AG for almost 24 years, including 17 as Chairman. The company has enjoyed tremendous success under Hansjörg’s stewardship, developing several new disciplines in house and growing from 200 to over 400 employees, while also opening new locations in Lucerne and Lake Geneva and expanding its operations in Germany and Slovakia. Hansjörg Schenker will hand the reins over to Bruno Fankhauser, who is also a member of the Board of Directors at Leoni AG – a globally active supplier of products, solutions and services in the fields of energy transmission and data management, specialising in the automotive industry. Bruno has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Basler & Hofmann AG since 2013.

Two new members have also been elected to the Board, one of them Thomas Landolt, Managing Director at IBM Switzerland. Thomas studied Information Technology at ETH Zurich. Since 1999, he has held various leadership roles at IBM – a company which has not only successfully transformed itself in a highly competitive environment, but also positioned itself as a key player in issues affecting the corporate world and the public sector.

Professor Konrad Basler, former director of the Institute of Molecular Life Sciences at the University of Zurich, has also joined the Supervisory Board. Together with Christoph Marugg, he will represent the owner families on the Board, ensuring they have a voice in all matters and are able to play an active role in shaping the company’s future.

The Supervisory Board is delighted with this latest expansion, and would like to extend a warm welcome to all new members.
