Martin Bosshard, long-time Head of Tunnels and Railways, will step down at the end of 2014. Stefan Moser will take over as departmental head and member of the Executive Board as of 1 January 2015. Martin will remain with the company and continue to bring his expertise to bear in major projects and the development of new markets in Scandinavia and Asia. Basler & Hofmann would like to thank him for his outstanding work and looks forward to counting on his range of skills and dedication in the coming years.

Martin Bosshard will step down as Head of Tunnels and Railways and as Vice Chairperson and member of the Executive Board at the end of 2014. He has managed the Tunnels and Railways department since 1 January 1999. Under his leadership, Basler & Hofmann reinforced its reputation as one of the leading engineering companies in Switzerland in the field of tunnel and railway construction. In projects such as the Zimmerberg Base Tunnel, the Weinberg Tunnel and Löwenstrasse transit station (cross-city link), our team continuously pushed the boundaries of what was technically possible. Martin presented this trailblazing performance with technical contributions and personal appearances both domestically and abroad, thereby enhancing the reputation of the company and the Swiss tunnel-building sector.

After 15 successful years as the departmental head, he is now passing his responsibilities on to the younger generation. Basler & Hofmann is pleased that Martin will remain with the company and continue to bring his expertise to bear in major projects and the development of new markets in Scandinavia and Asia.

Stefan Moser to be appointed new Head of Tunnels and Railways

The Supervisory Board has nominated Stefan Moser as Martin Bosshard’s successor. He will take over from 1 January 2015. Stefan (born 1971) holds a doctorate in civil engineering (ETH). He joined Basler & Hofmann in 2003, and quickly assumed managerial responsibilities in railway and tunnel projects and within the company. He is an acknowledged expert in the field of tunnels and railways and is an experienced, moral and integrative leadership figure. The Supervisory Board and Executive Board would like to congratulate Stefan on his new appointment and look forward to working with him in his new capacity.
