Sylvia Jaus

Sylvia Jaus specialises in environmental risks: the qualified environmental engineer initially worked for the research institute Eawag at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), then in the area of site contamination for the Zurich Office of Waste, Water, Energy and Air (WWEA). After obtaining a part-time qualification in safety engineering at the ETH Zurich, Sylvia Jaus joined the Safety and Security department at Basler & Hofmann in 2010. As a project manager in environmental safety, she carries out risk identification for companies, installations and transport routes: from an ammonia plant to a high-pressure natural gas pipeline. In addition to this, she also plays a major role in the risk register RCAT, which Basler & Hofmann developed as a planning instrument for nine cantons.
