Hanspeter Koller

Hanspeter Koller has brought his specialist expertise in spatial planning and urban development to bear in many interdisciplinary projects at Basler & Hofmann since graduating in 1990. In addition to several spatial planning reviews and special land use plans, the geographer and historian was responsible for large-scale spatial planning projects, as overall project manager, for the UFA compound feed plant in Herzogenbuchsee, the tourist resort in Andermatt and the new Coop distribution centre in Schafisheim. Since 2003, Hanspeter Koller has been responsible for the specialist service provider mandate for historical traffic routes in Switzerland on behalf of the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO). As head of Environmental Engineering, he also lends his experience to the Zollikofen location as a quality officer and to the company pension fund as a trustee.

What is different about working at Basler & Hofmann?

Ever since I joined Basler & Hofmann in 1994, I have appreciated the corporate culture, the loyalty, the working atmosphere and the opportunity to work on large-scale and highly complex projects. This is as true today as it was back then.

What other profession could you imagine yourself in – and why?

Unfortunately, my eyesight meant I was unable to become a pilot. But I have been a sworn member of a cooking club for 20 years and I love to ski, so I could certainly see myself running a small hotel with good food in the Swiss Alps. My three grandchildren would be delighted, my wife probably not.
