Lausanne railway station extension: 100 percent increase in passengers

The number of passengers passing through Lausanne railway station is set at least to double by 2025. The station is bursting at the seams and needs to be extended significantly within the confined space available. This involves platform extension and widening, construction of three new pedestrian underpasses, and a new commercial area, to mention just some of the newly planned extensions.
