Benchmark project SMART2013 regarding earthquake behaviour of nuclear power plant buildings

Project overview

The non-linear behaviour of the type of reinforced-concrete building typical of a nuclear power plant in response to intense earthquake exposure is predicted by 41 international teams. The results are then compared with data from vibration table tests in order to evaluate the simulation methods and assumptions applied.
