Flood protection: Uri valley floor

Project overview

The floods in August 2005 caused between CHF 300 and 500 million worth of damage to the Uri valley floor. As part of a flood protection project, measures were devised along the rivers Schächen, Stille Reuss and Reuss with the protection target of a 100-year flood and, in the sensitive area of the valley floor (industrial areas), even a 300-year flood.

In an engineering consortium: general project, schematic design, tender documents, detailed design and construction supervision (construction lot Schächen Stiglisbrücke to Gotthardstrasse).
