December 2020 saw the Kunsthaus Zürich become Switzerland’s largest art museum following the completion of a grand extension designed by David Chipperfield. The new section of the museum is a 2,000-watt building, meaning it also sets the standard in terms of its carbon footprint – and the photovoltaic system on the roof is a key factor. With 360 modules, the system has a nominal output of 115.2 kWp and can generate 100,000 kWh per year.
