The renovation of Lausanne railway station – coordinating 30 models

Project overview

Basler & Hofmann has the general planning mandate for the total renovation of Lausanne railway station. The railway station will undergo a considerable expansion during normal operations. Basler & Hofmann is responsible for the entire BIM coordination of all 20 project partners involved, using around 30 models that have been subdivided according to installations, contractor and construction phase. The great advantages of using this BIM approach are particularly well demonstrated in the complex planning of the construction phases.
