Site evaluations and feasibility studies for large-scale Alpine photovoltaic plants
Project overview
As part of the “Solarexpress”, various companies have had Alpine sites analysed for the realisation of large-scale photovoltaic plants. Basler & Hofmann has conducted around 15 site evaluations for various energy supply companies. The site evaluation for an Alpine photovoltaic plant includes examining the geology and all relevant natural hazards as well as the flora and fauna in terms of feasibility and the prospect of gaining planning permission. The resulting project perimeter is used to generate an initial electricity yield forecast.
