Daniel Krähenbühl

MSc ETH Civil Eng.

Managing Director, Head of Buildings and Industrial Buildings

When a project becomes complex and a large number of interests need to be reconciled, Daniel Krähenbühl is the one to call. His list of references as a project manager include countless large-scale projects ranging from the City West development complex and development on Europaallee in Zurich all the way to the complete renovation of prestigious business facilities. Since 2017, as a member of the Executive Board, he has been responsible for Buildings and Industrial Buildings. Daniel Krähenbühl started his career with a degree in Civil Engineering from what was then known as the Technikum Winterthur. After gaining some professional experience, he began another civil engineering degree at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich. In 1996, the doubly qualified civil engineer joined Basler & Hofmann. As the vice president of a residential co-op, the various demands placed on buildings and construction is a part of his private life as well.

What is different about working at Basler & Hofmann?

The composition of a team is always aligned with the requirements of the project, and tasks are handled in an interdisciplinary approach. As a result, I’m always working in new teams, collaborating with a wide range of colleagues.

What do you find makes a project particularly enjoyable?

I enjoy it when a project has been completed and all parties involved – clients, planners, implementers, etc. – consider it a success.
