Mario Guetg

Mario Guetg completed his master's degree in environmental sciences at ETH Zurich in 2020 with a specialisation in forest management and land use manage-ment. After gaining initial experience in the private sector and at the forestry ser-vices of the Canton of Zurich, he joined Basler & Hofmann at the start of 2022, where he has been contributing his expertise ever since. His interdisciplinary train-ing offers the perfect basis for dealing with complex issues relating to all aspects of forestry. With additional qualifications in the field of spatial information sys-tems, he is also skilled in handling projects that have a spatial reference. When it comes to preparing and hosting workshops and public events, he can also draw on his know-how from his teacher training qualification.

What fascinates you about your work?

I am really fascinated by the demands made on forest use by different interest groups. The resulting interdisciplinary environment makes for a varied and exciting working day.

What is different about working at Basler & Hofmann?

Basler & Hofmann gives me the opportunity to tackle complex issues relating to all aspects of forestry. I enjoy working in a team, particularly as long-standing experience and the latest know-how go hand-in-hand well.
