Simon Brand

Simon Brand joined Basler & Hofmann in 2022 to bolster the Construction Development team at the Bern site. As a longstanding construction project manager working for organisations in the public and private sector and as the former owner of a metalworking company, he understands the needs of clients during all phases of planning and construction, and he knows what it takes to complete complex building projects successfully. His specialist fields include client representation, technical due diligence and requirements management during ongoing operations. He has supervised numerous projects for hospitals in the role of general project manager, looking after new construction projects and renovation/building alteration projects in the process. In addition to his training as a project manager in construction and an EMBA in Public Management, Simon also has further training qualifications in the field of digital organisations.

What fascinates you about your work?

Every construction project has a wide range of different demands. I find it a really exciting challenge to understand the different points of view and find ways to successfully bring them all together.

What do you find makes a project particularly enjoyable?

For me, the key values are mutual respect, trust and a healthy dose of humour in our daily work together – after all, work should be fun as well.
