Basler & Hofmann AG is expanding its Executive Board

Basler & Hofmann AG has grown continually in recent years, and is now expanding its Executive Board: The Supervisory Board has elected Jürg Müller to serve as a member of the Executive Board as of 1 January 2016. He will become head of the new Airports and Civil Engineering department. The Executive Board of Basler & Hofmann AG now consists of seven members. The new department will encompass two existing specialist areas, Airports and Geomatics, as well as the newly created Urban Civil Engineering specialist area.

For his new role, Jürg Müller can draw on a wealth of professional experience: Following his apprenticeship as a draughtsman in civil engineering and subsequent studies in the same area, he was employed as a project engineer and site manager in civil engineering. He joined Basler & Hofmann in 2005 as a project manager. A mandate for Bengaluru International Airport took him to the Indian metropolis for a period of two years, where he was employed as managing director of the Indian subsidiary of Basler & Hofmann Swiss Consulting. Back in Switzerland, he became senior site manager for the northern access route to the Gotthard Base Tunnel, before finally returning to the field of Airports in the role of leading expert. Thanks to his previous professional experience, the 38-year-old engineer has acquired a broad base of expertise in his field of activity, gaining the trust of clients, project partners and employees alike with his objective, holistic approach. The Executive Board is looking forward to this expansion, and would like to extend a warm welcome to Jürg Müller.

The management team for the new business division, led by Jürg Müller, includes Marco Schnyder (head of Airports), Stefan Meile (head of Geomatics) and Marc Fleury, who will head the newly created specialist area of Urban Civil Engineering.
