Digital measurements from 2D plans: BIM2Field with QR codes

More and more construction projects are being planned with digital models. However, 2D plans are still used frequently on construction sites. When it comes to construction surveying, this involves much more work than with a purely model-based process. The additional interfaces also increase the risk of errors. Basler & Hofmann teamed up with Leica Geosystems to develop a digital workflow using QR codes for a model-based stake-out process with 2D plans. When performing the stake-out of the construction site from paper plans, the workflow offers the benefits of greater efficiency and minimised risk of errors thanks to integrated, digital processes.
