Basler & Hofmann develops satellite in South Tyrol

Basler & Hofmann has acquired 80 per cent of shares in Pardeller – a South Tyrolean engineering firm headquartered in Sterzing. The previous owner, civil engineer Hans Pardeller, will retain 20 per cent of the shares and stay on as managing director. The firm, which has four employees, specialises in infrastructure construction. Basler & Hofmann wants to develop and expand this satellite in South Tyrol in the coming years. This move provides Basler & Hofmann with expert teams in infrastructure construction in all German-speaking markets.

“In Pardeller we have found a partner that is a great fit for us in terms of workplace culture, and that also has an excellent network in South Tyrol,” says Dominik Courtin, Chairman of the Executive Board of Basler & Hofmann, explaining the reasons for the purchase. Basler & Hofmann already has a number of large infrastructure teams at multiple locations in Switzerland, Germany and Slovakia, who all work together on projects. “With a road infrastructure team that is distributed throughout Europe, we are able to tackle extremely challenging projects throughout the German-speaking region,” Dominik Courtin continues. “Our employees work in a wide range of fields, get insight into other markets, and can discuss their experiences and share knowledge as part of a large community of practice.” The main focus of the cross-national teamwork is transport infrastructure (roads, rail) including tunnels, engineering structures and additional systems for environmental protection.
