Kenny Haaker is an environmental scientist specialising in building contaminants, radon and indoor air quality. After completing his Master’s degree in Applied and Environmental Geosciences at the University of Tübingen in Germany, he joined Basler & Hofmann in 2022. He is now a project manager in the Environment, Water and Transport division, overseeing investigations into building contaminants, decontamination work, and radon and indoor air quality measurements. His areas of expertise include building pollutants such as asbestos, PCBs, CP and PAHs, as well as the assessment of indoor air quality with regard to parameters such as TVOC, formaldehyde and CO₂. He also carries out measurements for Minergie-ECO certifications. He combines in-depth analyses with practical solutions for construction and renovation projects.

What fascinates you about your work?

My focus is on eliminating hazardous substances to promote sustainable construction and the circular economy. I am passionate about providing holistic support for a wide range of projects, from the initial assessment of hazardous substances right through to successful remediation. I enjoy working as part of a team to develop practical, cost-effective and legally compliant solutions.
