Bad Zurzach eastern bypass: road construction
Project overview
With a view to easing congestion in the centre of the municipality of Bad Zurzach, a new one-kilometre-long, two-lane cantonal bypass road is built. The tunnel, which is approximately 530 metres long, is built using the cut-and-cover method. Part of the route runs parallel to a creeping landslide in a section with a tie-back anchored retaining wall. At the connection to the existing cantonal road, the junctions will be redesigned and the existing SBB bridge replaced.
