Bern RBS underground railway station

Project overview

Bern main station is a heavily used public-transport hub that is reaching the limits of its capacity. Under ongoing operation and under consideration of existing railway station infrastructures, a new underground railway station is to be constructed for the Regionalverkehr Bern-Solothurn (RBS) regional transport company below the existing tracks in the form of two large-span caverns.
