Brenner railway northern access route

Project overview

The aim of the new two-track underground line is to increase the capacity of the existing Lower Inn Valley railway. The approximately 41-kilometre-long new stretch with a designed speed of 250 kilometres per hour comprises a slab track and extensive, finely graded mass-spring systems.
