Cham eastern bypass: road construction
Project overview
With a view to easing congestion in the centre of the municipality of Cham, a new 4.5-kilometre-long, two-lane cantonal bypass road was planned. The bypass road incorporates an approximately 400-metre-long tunnel, an underpass below the N04 motorway and a 200-metre-long bridge over the Lorze river. A road run-off treatment plant is to be built around the Cham junction, and non-motorised traffic will run junction-free along the bypass road.
