Construction of new laboratory building at the Aarau Cantonal Hospital: Advice on building physics and acoustics

Project overview

The Aarau Cantonal Hospital required a new laboratory building for the Institute of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. A new build at the eastern edge of the site was planned for this. It is a cube-shaped building, the building envelope of which met the primary requirements set out in Minergie, the Swiss sustainable building standard that applied at the time. Our task was to advise the planning team headed by Burkhardt + Partner in the areas of building physics and acoustics.
