Project overview
The new building for Medical Technology at the new Department of Health Sciences and Technology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich is to be built on Gloriastrasse on the site of the former Laboratory of Hydraulics, Hydrology and Glaciology (VAW) building. It will be characterised by an innovative glass brick facade, and will offer particularly high flexibility of use.

As part of the team of Boltshauser Architekten AG, we won the first place in the general planner competition. Skeleton frame construction in exposed concrete. Independent slope stabilisation structure in order to avoid the use of load-bearing crosswalls for the building. From concept design throughout to detailed design and site supervision.
