Expansion of the Esslingen office building: Simulation of emergency evacuation in the event of fire
Project overview
Basler & Hofmann implemented a fully-digitised planning and construction process at its own office building in Esslingen, canton of Zurich. The requirements for fire safety were also defined in the digital model. As a result, it was possible to generate the fire control plans directly from the model. Furthermore, on the basis of the data model a simulation of an evacuation in the event of a fire was modelled with the aid of the software tools Pyrosim and Pathfinder.
