Flood hazard mapping – Arbogne
Project overview
The canton of Fribourg has mapped the flood hazards for its region of Espace Mittelland in seven lots. Basler & Hofmann was awarded the lot covering the drainage basin of the Arbogne river. The project involved the collection of hazard data from 23 local communities with a total of 32 flood hazard parameters.

Collection and assessment of the at-risk areas and the governing processes, collection of data about the available bed load and assessment of the bed-load dynamics, 1D and 2D modelling of the run-off behaviour and the flood areas, development of scenario assessments, intensity and risk maps.
