Flood protection for Dorfbach Schwarzenburg
Project overview
As a first flood protection measure, a flood control reservoir was constructed in the agricultural area above the village. As well as helping to mitigate flood peaks, this has renaturalized the village stream in the area of the retention reservoir. As a second measure, the stream has been developed along its entire length through the tight settlement area and has been given an ecological makeover.

Project planning, tendering and implementation (SIA 31 - 33, 41, 51 - 53), assessment of the flood hazards and development of the flood protection project, hydrological and hydraulic calculations, soil investigations and geotechnical assessments of the structural stability of the embankment. Delivery of all relevant safety verifications for the retention reservoir in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Water Retaining Facilities.
