Limmern pumped-storage plant

Project overview

The Limmern pumped-storage plant is a complex hydropower plant project comprising numerous underground structures (caverns, galleries). The water is to be pumped from the Limmernsee reservoir to the Muttsee lake located some 600 metres higher up and used, where necessary, for electricity production.
