New level 3 biological safety laboratory for the Institute for Infectious Diseases of the University of Bern
Project overview
For the Institute for Infectious Diseases (IFID) of the University of Bern, a new BSL-3 laboratory for the diagnosis of tuberculosis and for basic research in highly infectious pathogens will be put into operation at the SITEM-Insel hospital in May 2020. The safety laboratory, which will span around 250 m2, will be one of the biggest of its kind in Switzerland.
