Overall renewal of Hunzenschwil/Schafisheim cantonal road
Project overview
Access to the A1 motorway at the Aarau East/Hunzenschwil junction to the entrance to Schafisheim was already severely congested. The construction of the new Coop distribution centre increased the anticipated volume of traffic even further, and made it necessary for traffic facilities to be improved. The cantonal road and two junctions were extensively renewed, including service piping and traffic lights. The Schoren junction was redesigned and brought in line with future traffic requirements with a new concrete roundabout.
