Renovation of Thalwil gasworks

Project overview

The operation of the Thalwil gasworks resulted in polluted soil and tar deposits in Lake Zurich. In a first step, the tar deposits were extracted from the lake using a suction pump protected by a cage, before being conditioned and disposed of ashore. In a second step, the polluted soil was removed via large overlapped drill holes.
