SBB Lucerne–Immensee road underpasses: UHSC ballast troughs

Project overview

One of the recent additions to the SBB civil engineering project planning assistant is prefabricated ballast troughs made from ultra-high-strength concrete (UHSC) for sealing natural stone arched bridges. These are to be used for the first time in the restoration of 10 road underpasses on the Lucerne–Immensee line.
