Vibration dampers: Haggenbrücke bridge
Project overview
The Haggenbrücke bridge connects the city of St. Gallen with the municipality of Stein in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden over the Sittertal valley. The bridge had been very susceptible to vibration since its opening in 1937, which is why vibration dampers were built into the bridge during the overall restoration.
