Water construction project: Sarneraa in Alpnach
Project overview
The Sarneraa river has substantial ecological and flood protection deficits in the section from the Wichelsee weir to the point where it enters Lake Alpnach. Two water construction projects are designed to make the Sarneraa river flood-safe and to give it an ecological makeover. In addition, the bed-load balance of the Sarneraa river is to be restored by adjusting the sediment traps in Schlierenrüti.
