Yield assessment for a large photovoltaic system
Project overview
A large photovoltaic system in north-west Switzerland only delivers around 70% of the expected energy yield. The resulting financial losses feared by the building owner thus run into what is now a six-figure amount. The cause for the loss in yield was quickly determined: the emissions from an adjacent, dust-intensive operation were causing heavy soiling of the photovoltaic modules.
