Bridges

Basler & Hofmann designs bridges of any scale, from the large cable-stayed bridge in Riga to a riveted steel bridge in the small village of Eglisau. We build bridges to cross main roads, railway or tram lines, cycle routes or footpaths. We design all types of bridges, underpasses and flyovers and carry out inspection and renovation work on historical structures that are designated for conservation. We have been designing bridges since 1963, and carry out around a dozen such projects in Switzerland and abroad each year.

Our engineers, designers, draughtsmen and construction supervisors have many years’ experience in consulting, construction, maintenance and renovation. We combine tried and tested traditional techniques with the innovatively sophisticated and intricate. We have specific experience in pre-stressed bridges, composite brides, steel bridges and the application of weatherproof steels.
